Dr. Cory Waxman
Dr. Cory Waxman grew up in Bergen County and has been an animal lover his whole life, volunteering at animal shelters from a young age. He received a BS in biochemistry from Northwestern University before going on to veterinary school. Dr. Waxman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and has been treating pets in Northern NJ since 2011.
While completing his studies, Dr. Waxman was involved in zoo medicine and conservation work. He interned at the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston, where he worked with giraffes, lions, camels, and endangered birds. He also conducted research for the “Noah’s Ark” Project at both Northwestern and UPenn, developing artificial reproduction methods for endangered canine and feline species.
Dr. Waxman truly cares for the animals he treats and enjoys working with pet owners to provide the best medical care possible. This is why he has a great reputation with veterinary staff across Northern NJ — they love working with him!
Dr. Waxman lives in Northern New Jersey with his 2 dogs, Jersey and BMO, and his 2 cats, Marle and Valerie.
